3 Minutes to think printing costs...

Here are the printing costs I have put together for 1,000 units of each design, the posters and the booklet.

booklet: 4 colour print job, with matt laminate cover at 170gsm and inside pages are silk with coating on 105 gsm. came out at £759.30

Posters: 4 colour print job, matt laminate, 1 sided printing, A2 size prints. came out at £313.20

Total job cost for printing and finishing: £1072.50

I have tweaked the posters I previously designed by adding more information to the bottom to let the audience know more about what its about and directing them to read the copies of 3 minutes to think that will be in the waiting rooms. I have also tried a pink shade for the breast cancer poster but not sure if the contrast will be enough when printed , im going to test this any way.

Re-designed the cover after crit feedback said the black was too depressing, needed more optimistic colours.

Here are some designs for posters to go in health care waiting rooms, like doctors or dentists run by the NHS, these go alongside the booklet that is available to read in the waiting rooms.

Here are the spreads I have gone on to develop. Need some feedback on them as I have been working quite closely to this project. I need to sort the type out - on the baseline grid and then I will print the spreads to be discussed in a crit. I will probably mock-up the whole booklet so they can get a feel of how it will all come together.

Here is a sketch of how I want the cover to be. The title will be die cut in industry settings, and behind from the fold in the cover will be the NHS logo in a repeat pattern to be revealed through the typography.

There needs to be some sort of consistency with the "every three minutes" line of text for every new topic discussed...

Booklet to be produced under the title for each chapter as every 3 minutes...

It will be for the NHS, as I have chosen medical based topics. The idea is to give people a 3 minute warning, by reading all the bad things that happen every 3 minutes it will be up to them to make the most of their next 3 minutes and so on, and be healthy.
